| The essence of the message is visual and much use has been made of slow motion to demonstrate balance and symmetry against the kind of restriction that comes through injury.
Horses are seen before and after recovery, helping to show even the inexperienced eye the detail of a difficult field.
The reason for producing a film at this time is to draw attention to an area of lameness that appears to be little understood. Locomotory problems caused by muscular injury are on the increase. A visit to any sale of mature horses reflects the numbers being cast off because such problems seem insoluble. We do not recognise the significance of the muscular system, generally, and this whole anomaly will not be resolved until we do.

We all recognise the need of human athletes for regular muscle care. We regularly see the consequences of acute injury in televised races. Itís important to appreciate that horses suffer the same kind of injury, if not as dramatically, and the need for muscle care is as critical for any animal required to perform at any level.

The Horse in Motion is also available in a series of 5 digital downloads of 10 minutes duration.
Please note that the reason for dividing the film into five clips was merely for convenience and speed in downloading. Each clip is an essential part of a whole and each one has its own invaluable information for anyone wishing to study The Horse in Motion. It may be that, for some, a single clip will suffice, but the complexities of the subject mean there is value in every segment. To learn from it, the full film should be viewed repeatedly, when each viewing will, in all probability, bring a little more to the eye. Those who really want to penetrate the subject will study it many times.
The Horse in Motion Clips are available either Quicktime or Windows Media format, price £5.00 each.
